Next year’s World Series of Poker dates have been announced, with the famous tournament set to take place at Paris Las Vegas and Bally’s from May 30 to July 18, 2023.
This will be the second year in a row that the WSOP will be held on the Las Vegas Strip after moving from its previous home in the Rio. Owner Caesars Entertainment recently announced plans to rename Bally’s to Horseshoe Las Vegas in recognition of poker’s long-awaited return. Binion’s Horseshoe in downtown Las Vegas hosted the WSOP for its first 35 years from 1970 to 2004.
While the full schedule of events will be released at a later date, the 2023 WSOP Main Event has already been set, with four Day 1 flights taking place from July 3-6, with a winner crowned on July 17.
Other main events include the new $1,000 buy-in Mystery Millions tournament, which will award bounties ranging from $10,000 to $1 million. Guaranteed first prize of $1 million.
“The WSOP’s historic debut on the Las Vegas Strip was a great success, and we’re excited to announce the dates for the 2023 Summer Season just in time for the holidays,” said WSOP Senior Vice President and CEO Ty Stewart.
“Now poker players and fans can officially mark the calendar and maybe even book a trip to the WSOP for themselves or their loved ones as a holiday gift. We’re excited to return to the Paris Las Vegas and the future Horseshoe Las Vegas for another exciting chapter in the tournament’s history. These two resorts raised the bar by hosting last year’s event.”
The 2022 WSOP attracted 197,626 entrants from more than 100 countries, creating a record-breaking combined prize pool of $347.9 million.
